A Place To Bury Strangers è un gruppo noise rock di New York City formato da Oliver Ackermann (chitarra e voce), Jono MOFO (basso) e Jay Space (batteria). La loro musica è caratterizzata da una densa atmosfera, influenzata dal wall of sound, che fonde elementi di psychedelic rock, shoegaze e space rock. Il gruppo è spesso abbreviato in APTBS. Ackermann, il fondatore del gruppo, ha iniziato a comporre musica nel 2004, pubblicando i primi album indipendenti con la band. Nel 2007 hanno firmato per la Sacred Bones Records, con cui hanno pubblicato diversi album di successo, tra cui "Where You Been" (2010) e "Transportist" (2015).
