The Church est un groupe de rock australien connu pour son son psychédélique. Formé à Sydney en 1978, il est considéré comme l'un des groupes les plus influents du mouvement post-punk australien. Ils ont atteint la popularité internationale dans les années 1980 avec des albums comme "After Everything" et "Priest = Aura". Leur musique se caractérise par des atmosphères sombres et introspectives, des riffs de guitare évocateurs et des paroles poétiques. Le groupe a traversé plusieurs phases stylistiques au cours de sa longue carrière, explorant des éléments de synth-pop, shoegaze et ambient. Parmi leurs chansons les plus représentatives figurent "Under the Milky Way", "Metropolis", "Tantalized" et "The Unguarded Moment". Steve Kilbey, le leader et principal compositeur, est connu pour sa voix mélodique et ses paroles introspectives.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
