Hot Action Cop est un groupe de rock alternatif américain formé dans les années 1990 par Rob Werthner (chant, guitare rythmique, songwriting, leader), Luis Espaillat (basse), Kory Knipp (batterie) et Tim Flaherty (guitare). Avant la tournée de 2003, Daniel Feese (claviers) a rejoint le groupe. Influencés par des artistes comme Bloodhound Gang, Eminem, Red Hot Chili Peppers et Limp Bizkit, ils ont créé un son caractérisé par des rythmes intenses et des paroles souvent centrées sur des thèmes sexuels. Leur album éponyme est sorti en mars 2003 pour Lava/Atlantic Records.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
