Melissa Etheridge è una cantautrice e chitarrista americana nata a Leavenworth, Kansas, nel 1961. Considerata un'icona per la comunità LGBTQ+, Etheridge ha conquistato fama internazionale con il suo sound rock potente e le sue canzoni introspettive che affrontano temi come l'amore, la perdita e l'identità. Il suo album di debutto omonimo del 1988 ottenne un grande successo, lanciando singoli come "Bring Me Some Water" e "Like the Way I Do". J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
