The Human League sono un gruppo musicale britannico formatosi a Sheffield, in Inghilterra, nel 1977. Considerati pionieri del synth-pop, hanno raggiunto l'apice del successo all'inizio degli anni ottanta con album come "Dare" (1981), che ha venduto oltre 15 milioni di copie in tutto il mondo e include hit come "Don't You Want Me", "Love Action (I Believe In Love)" e "Human«. Il gruppo, originariamente composto da Philip Oakey, Martyn Ware e Ian Craig Marsh, ha subito diverse modifiche nel corso degli anni. Dopo un periodo di pausa negli anni '90, The Human League hanno continuato a registrare e esibirsi con successo fino ai giorni nostri. Il loro sound caratteristico combina melodie orecchiabili con sintetizzatori pulsanti e testi spesso introspettivi. Oltre a "Dare", altri album importanti includono "Travelogue" (1985) e "Secrets" (1990).
