Dr. Demento, nom d'artiste de Barry Eugen Hansen (né le 19 avril 1942), est un célèbre disc jockey et musicologue américain connu pour son émission de radio "The Dr. Demento Show". Lancée en 1974, l'émission a connu une grande popularité aux États-Unis et au Canada, devenant un repère pour la musique underground et la musique comique. Dr. Demento se spécialise dans la diffusion de chansons camp, chansons à la mode et musique excentrique, souvent avec un fort contenu humoristique. Son émission a contribué à lancer la carrière de nombreux artistes underground et a présenté au public une large gamme de genres musicaux inhabituels.
