Damn Yankees è stato un supergruppo hard rock americano formatosi a metà degli anni '80. Il gruppo era composto da membri di grande talento provenienti da band di successo come i Van Halen e gli Aerosmith: Tommy Shaw (guitarrre, voce) dei Styx, Ted Nugent (chitarra, voce) noto per il suo stile hard rock aggressivo, e Jack Blades (basso, voce) degli Night Ranger. Il loro sound era caratterizzato da riff di chitarra potenti, melodie orecchiabili e testi energici che hanno conquistato un vasto pubblico. Il loro album di debutto omonimo "Damn Yankees" del 1989 raggiunse il successo commerciale, con singoli come "Come Again" e "Don't Be Cruel" che scalavano le classifiche. L'album successivo "Flesh and Blood" (1990) consolidò la loro posizione nel panorama hard rock mondiale. Dopo un breve periodo di attività, Damn Yankees si sciolse nel 1992. Nonostante la loro breve carriera, hanno lasciato un segno indelebile nella storia del hard rock americano.
