Rob Thomas (nato Robert Kelly Thomas) è un cantautore e musicista statunitense, noto soprattutto come voce principale del gruppo rock Matchbox Twenty. Nato a Syracuse, New York, nel 1972, Thomas ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale all'età di 16 anni, formando i Matchbox Twenty con alcuni amici d'infanzia. Il loro album di debutto, "Yourself or Someone Like You", pubblicato nel 1996, divenne un successo mondiale, vendendo oltre 10 milioni di copie negli Stati Uniti e consacrando Thomas come una delle voci più riconoscibili della musica pop-rock degli anni '90. Oltre al successo con i Matchbox Twenty, Thomas ha intrapreso una carriera da solista, pubblicando album di grande successo come "...Something to Be" (2005) e "Cradlesong" (2013). J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
