Hunters and Collectors sono stati una band rock australiana formatasi a Melbourne nel 1981. Frontati dal cantautore e chitarrista Mark Seymour, hanno sviluppato un mix di pub rock e art-funk. Tra i membri più importanti figurava anche Robert Miles, ingegnere del suono e designer d'arte. La loro musica ha saputo coniugare melodie orecchiabili con testi introspettivi, spesso incentrati su temi sociali e personali. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si ricordano "Throw Your Arms Around Me", "Do You See What I See?" e "When the River Runs Dry". Hanno pubblicato diversi album di successo, tra cui "Human Frailty" (1986) e "The Age of Dissonance" (1989). Hunters and Collectors hanno contribuito a definire il panorama musicale australiano degli anni '80 e '90.
