Tom Tom Club è un duo musicale statunitense formatosi nel 1980 da Tina Weymouth e Chris Frantz, rispettivamente bassista e batterista dei Talking Heads. Il progetto nacque come una collaborazione parallela al gruppo principale, esplorando sonorità più elettroniche e dance. Il loro debutto omonimo del 1981 fu un successo critico e commerciale, con brani come "Wordy Rappinghood" che divennero hit radiofoniche. Nel corso degli anni '80, il Tom Tom Club ha continuato a pubblicare album di grande successo, collaborando con artisti come David Byrne e Nile Rodgers. Il loro sound, caratterizzato da ritmi funky, sintetizzatori e testi ironici, ha influenzato generi musicali come la new wave, l'electropop e la musica dance.
