We quick fell in love an' went down by the creek.

I told my father the awful truth.

So out I went mad to be a wife,

He read me some verse he had written for me.
He said they would move me, these poems from his pen,
An' how right he was, because they moved me right into the glen.
We stayed till the dawn came an' lighted the sky,

I never went back, for what I had heard was true:
That a poet only writes about the things he cannot do.
My pa said, "Look out for men who think.
Ye'll be more certain with men who drink."

He told me about all the battle he'd won.
He wasted his time tellin' me about his might,
For one look at him decided me to not put up a fight.
We skirmished for hours that night in the glen,

An' he thought it was a bugle an' got up an' marched away.

Someone who's true, or too old to run."

Alan Jay Lerner (31 août 1918 – 14 juin 1986) était un parolier et librettiste américain. En collaboration avec Frederick Loewe, il a créé certaines des œuvres théâtrales musicales les plus populaires et durables au monde, à la fois pour la scène et le cinéma. Il a remporté trois Tony Awards et trois Oscars, entre autres distinctions. Lerner est né à New York dans une famille juive. Après avoir étudié à l'Université Harvard, il a commencé sa carrière comme journaliste et scénariste de pièces de théâtre. C'était le 5 avril 1980 quand un groupe inconnu et sans nom a joué dans une église désacralisée de la ville universitaire d'Athens en Géorgie. À peine deux semaines plus tard, ils ont choisi un nom R.E.M. , et ilt ont sortiun single et en 1983 un album "Murmur".
Avec 7 albums à leur actif, le groupe est une source d'inspiration et de créativité au niveau mondial, au cours de ces 20 années il n'a cessé d'influencer le paysage musical et de créer des tendances.

Il sont 7, ils ont presque tous la vingtaine, ils aiment le post-rock et aussi expérimenter différents sons. Plus qu'un groupe, Black Country est une communauté.
J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
Le film très critiqué «Musique» de Sia qui voit son début en tant que réalisatrice vient d'être nominé comme meilleur film au Golden Globe 2021. L'actrice principale Kate Hudson a été nominée dans la catégorie Meilleure actrice.
