William Rory Gallagher (1948-1995) è stato un chitarrista, cantante e compositore irlandese considerato uno dei più grandi musicisti rock del suo tempo. Nato a Ballyshannon, in Irlanda, Rory iniziò a suonare la chitarra all'età di 14 anni, influenzato da artisti come Muddy Waters e Eric Clapton. Nel 1967 formò i Taste, un gruppo blues-rock che ottenne grande successo in Europa. Dopo lo scioglimento dei Taste nel 1970, Rory intraprese una carriera solista di grande successo, pubblicando album come "Rory Gallagher" (1971), "Deuce" (1971) e "Irish Tour '74" (1974). Il suo stile chitarristico era caratterizzato da un'incredibile tecnica, potenza e sensibilità blues. Rory Gallagher è stato un artista di grande talento e carisma, che ha lasciato un segno indelebile nella storia del rock.
