Europe è un gruppo musicale svedese formatosi nel 1979. Noto per il suo sound hard rock con influenze progressive e pop, ha raggiunto la fama mondiale negli anni '80 grazie al singolo "The Final Countdown", che divenne un'icona del genere poodle rock. Il brano, estratto dall'album omonimo del 1986, vendé oltre otto milioni di copie e scalò le classifiche in più di venti paesi. Prima del successo planetario, Europe aveva pubblicato un album d'esordio omonimo nel 1983 che rivelava le sue radici progressive. Tra i brani rappresentativi del gruppo ricordiamo anche "Carrie", "Superstar" e "Let the Good Times Roll".
