Darin Zanyar, noto semplicemente come Darin, è un cantante svedese di origine curda nato a 1987. Ha raggiunto la fama partecipando alla prima edizione del talent show Idol in Svezia nel 2004, classificandosi secondo. Questo trampolino di lancio gli ha aperto le porte al successo internazionale. Il suo stile musicale è un mix di pop, R and B e dance, influenzato dalla sua cultura curda. Darin ha pubblicato numerosi album di grande successo in Svezia e altri paesi europei, ottenendo certificazioni d'oro e platino. Tra i suoi brani più famosi figurano "Step Up", "Youre My Superhero" e "Ring Ring". Nel 2013 ha vinto il premio Grammis per la miglior canzone pop.
