Snot est un groupe américain de metal alternatif originaire de Santa Barbara, en Californie. Formé en 1995, le groupe a gagné en notoriété dans la fin des années 1990 grâce à son son agressif influencé par le nu metal. Leur album de début, *Snot*, est sorti en 1999 et a produit les singles "Wannabe" et "Life Is but a Dream". Le groupe a continué d'enregistrer de la musique jusqu'en 2002, année où le chanteur Lynn Strait est décédé dans un accident de voiture. Snot est rappelé pour son style musical caractérisé par des riffs lourds, des paroles introspectives et la voix puissante de Strait. Parmi ses morceaux les plus représentatifs, on peut citer "Wannabe", "Life Is but a Dream", "The Best Thing" et "Pray for Me".

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
