Judith Marjorie Collins, connue simplement sous le nom de Judy Collins, est une chanteuse-compositrice et actrice américaine née à Seattle, Washington, en 1939. Considérée comme l'une des figures les plus influentes de la musique folk américaine, elle a acquis une renommée internationale pour sa voix soprano puissante et polyvalente, capable de passer du chant mélodique au rock progressif. Sa carrière, commencée dans les années 1960, se caractérise par une discographie riche qui comprend plus de 30 albums studio. Collins s'est distinguée par son interprétation de chansons folk traditionnelles, comme «Blowin' in the Wind» de Bob Dylan, et par ses compositions originales, dont «Both Sides Now», devenue un classique intemporel. En dehors de la musique, Collins est connue pour son engagement social et politique, soutenant des causes liées à la paix, aux droits civiques et à l'environnement.
