James est un groupe de rock britannique formé à Manchester à la fin des années 1980. Le groupe a connu une popularité internationale pendant les années 1990 avec des singles comme «Sit Down», «Laid» et «Sometimes», caractérisés par des mélodies accrocheuses, des paroles introspectives et un son qui fusionne des éléments de rock alternatif, pop indépendant et post-punk.
