Counting Crows est un groupe de rock américain formé à Berkeley, en Californie, en 1989. Leur son se caractérise par des mélodies accrocheuses, des paroles introspectives et une forte influence folk-rock. Après des années à jouer dans les clubs, le groupe a signé avec Geffen Records en 1993. Leur album de début, *August and Everything After*, est devenu un succès international grâce au single «Mr. Jones», atteignant le statut de disque multiplatine. Le succès a entraîné une forte pression sur le chanteur Adam Duritz, qui a subi une crise nerveuse. Cette période difficile se reflète dans leur album suivant, *Recovering the Satellites* (1996). Au fil des années, Counting Crows ont continué à sortir des albums à succès comme *This Desert Life* (2002) et *Saturday Nights and Sunday Mornings* (2008), maintenant une base de fans fidèle grâce à leur musique authentique et au charisme de Duritz. Parmi les chansons les plus représentatives du groupe, on peut citer «Round Here», «A Long December» et «Anna Begins».

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
