High Tone est un groupe français de dub originaire de Lyon. Formé en 1997, le groupe est apparu aux côtés d'autres artistes importants de la scène dub française comme Brain Damage Sound System, Kaly Live Dub, Le Peuple de l'Herbe, Improvisators Dub et Me and #239; Te and #239; Sho. Composé de cinq membres, High Tone intègre des influences du Drum'n'bass, Ambient, Trance et Vintage Dub, s'inspirant d'artistes comme King Tubby ou Lee "Scratch" Perry. Après avoir sorti plusieurs EPs en vinyle auto-produits, le groupe a signé avec le label Jarring Effects. Les membres de High Tone sont aujourd'hui considérés comme des acteurs majeurs de la scène dub française, réputés pour leurs nombreuses collaborations avec d'autres artistes.
