John Wesley Harding è il nome d'arte di Robert Allen Zimmerman, meglio conosciuto come Bob Dylan. L'album "John Wesley Harding", pubblicato nel 1967, segna un cambio di direzione nella sua carriera musicale. Dopo l'esplosione del folk rock e le proteste sociali degli anni '60, Dylan si allontana da sonorità più elettriche e impegnate per abbracciare uno stile country-folk più introspettivo e minimalista.
