Parliament-Funkadelic est le nom collectif donné au groupe de musique funk dirigé par George Clinton, actif principalement dans les années 1970. Le groupe, composé d'une série de musiciens et chanteurs, a enregistré sous les noms Parliament et Funkadelic, mais s'est souvent présenté comme une seule entité. Parmi les membres les plus notables figurent Bootsy Collins, Fred Wesley et Maceo Parker, tous issus des groupes de James Brown. Leur style musical était caractérisé par des rythmes endiablés, des lignes mélodiques funky et des paroles souvent fantastiques et satiriques. Les concerts étaient spectaculaires, avec des costumes extravagants, des décors futuristes et une ambiance festive contagieuse. Parliament-Funkadelic a eu un impact significatif sur la musique hip hop des années 1980 et 1990, influençant des artistes comme Prince et Rick James.
