Pinback è un gruppo indie rock formatosi a San Diego, California, nel 1998 da Armistead Burwell Smith IV e Rob Crow, entrambi cantanti, cantautori e multi-strumentisti. La formazione attuale comprende anche i batteristi Chris Prescott e Tom Zinser, che si alternano nei concerti. Nel corso degli anni, Pinback ha visto l'ingresso di altri musicisti come Terrin Durfey, Eric Hoversten, Ryan Bromley, Cameron Jones, Kenseth Thibideau, Gabriel Voiles, MC, Dmitri Dziensuwski, Donny Van Zandt e Thatcher Orbitachi. Il gruppo è noto per un sound caratterizzato da melodie intricate, arrangiamenti raffinati e testi introspettivi.
