Gordon Meredith Lightfoot, Jr. (1938-2023) è stato un cantautore canadese considerato uno dei pilastri della musica folk e country del suo paese. Nato a Orillia, Ontario, Lightfoot ha iniziato la sua carriera musicale negli anni '60, guadagnandosi rapidamente una reputazione per le sue melodie evocative e i testi poetici che spesso esploravano temi di storia, natura e vita quotidiana canadese.
