BR5-49 è una band americana di musica country formatasi nel 1993. Il gruppo, originariamente composto da Gary Bennett (voce principale e cori, chitarra acustica), Don Herron (steel guitar, Dobro, violino, mandolino, chitarra acustica), "Smilin'" Jay McDowell (contrabbasso), Chuck Mead (voce principale e cori, chitarra acustica, chitarra elettrica) e "Hawk" Shaw Wilson (batteria, cori), ha raggiunto popolarità negli anni '90 con un sound country tradizionale influenzato dal rockabilly. Nel 2001 Bennett e McDowell hanno lasciato la band, sostituiti da Chris Scruggs e Geoff Firebaugh rispettivamente. Entrambi i nuovi membri hanno poi abbandonato il gruppo; Mark Miller è diventato il terzo bassista della band. BR5-49 è nota per brani come "The Devil's Got a New Dress", "I'm Gonna Be Your Man" e "You Can't Take It With You".

Il sont 7, ils ont presque tous la vingtaine, ils aiment le post-rock et aussi expérimenter différents sons. Plus qu'un groupe, Black Country est une communauté.
J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
