William James Adams Jr., plus connu sous le nom de will.i.am, est un rappeur, chanteur, producteur discographique et entrepreneur américain né à Los Angeles en 1975. Élevé dans un quartier difficile, il s'est passionné pour la musique dès son jeune âge. En 1992, il a fait ses débuts dans le monde du rap avec la chanson "Merry Muthafuckin' Xmas" sur l'EP d'Eazy-E "5150: Home 4 tha Sick". En 1996, il a fondé les Black Eyed Peas, un groupe musical qui a connu un succès mondial avec des tubes comme "Where Is the Love?", "Let's Get It Started" et "I Gotta Feeling". J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
