Les 504 Boyz sont un groupe américain de hip-hop formé à New Orleans, en Louisiane, dans les années 1990. Le groupe est dirigé par Percy Miller, mieux connu sous le nom de Master P, qui, outre son rôle de leader musical, occupe également le poste de directeur de No Limit Records, le label discographique qui promeut et gère le groupe. Les 504 Boyz sont connus pour leur style hardcore de rap, influencé par la culture urbaine de New Orleans. Le groupe a connu un succès commercial considérable dans les années 1990 avec des albums comme "Guerrilla Warfare" (1996) et "We on Fire" (1997), qui ont vendu des millions d'exemplaires à travers le monde. Parmi leurs chansons les plus représentatives, on peut citer "I'm Bout It", "The 504 Boyz Anthem" et "Ghetto D Dweller". Master P a toujours soutenu la croissance artistique des membres du groupe, leur offrant une opportunité unique de se faire connaître sur la scène musicale américaine.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
