Ancient Rites è una band belga di black metal (inizialmente) e folk metal (recentemente) formatasi nel 1988. La formazione iniziale comprendeva i chitarristi Johan e Phillip, il batterista Stefan e Gunther Theys al basso e alla voce. Nel 1990 venne pubblicato il demo *Dark Ritual* nell'underground, ottenendo attenzione mondiale proprio mentre il black metal stava guadagnando importanza nella scena metal. Poco dopo la pubblicazione del demo, Phillip morì in un incidente d'auto e poco dopo Stefan si suicidò. Nonostante questo doloroso episodio per la band, decisero di continuare e al posto di Stefan venne assunto Walter Van Cortenberg, suo roadie. Ancient Rites ha pubblicato numerosi album, tra cui *The Darkest Hour* (1994), *Blood of the Ancients* (1996) e *The Serpent's Embrace* (2003). Il loro stile musicale è caratterizzato da sonorità dark e atmosferiche, con influenze folk e melodiche. Tra i brani più rappresentativi si possono citare *Dark Ritual*, *Blood of the Ancients* e *The Serpent's Embrace*.

Avec 7 albums à leur actif, le groupe est une source d'inspiration et de créativité au niveau mondial, au cours de ces 20 années il n'a cessé d'influencer le paysage musical et de créer des tendances.

Il sont 7, ils ont presque tous la vingtaine, ils aiment le post-rock et aussi expérimenter différents sons. Plus qu'un groupe, Black Country est une communauté.
J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
Le film très critiqué «Musique» de Sia qui voit son début en tant que réalisatrice vient d'être nominé comme meilleur film au Golden Globe 2021. L'actrice principale Kate Hudson a été nominée dans la catégorie Meilleure actrice.
