The Presidents of the United States of America, communément appelés The Presidents, sont un groupe de rock alternatif américain deux fois nominé aux Grammy. Formé à Seattle en 1993, le groupe de trois membres est actuellement composé du chanteur et "basitariste" Chris Ballew, du batteur et chanteur Jason Finn ainsi que du "guitbassist" et chanteur Andrew McKeag. Le "guitbassist" et chanteur Dave Dederer a fait partie du groupe pendant 11 ans avant de partir en 2004. Ils ont sorti six albums studio depuis leur formation en 1993. Parmi leurs chansons les plus représentatives, on peut citer "Peaches", "Lump" et "Dune Buggy".

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
