Brandtson est un groupe de rock indépendant formé à Cleveland, Ohio en 1996. Il s'agissait à l'origine d'un projet parallèle de Myk Porter, le chanteur du groupe hardcore chrétien Six Feet Deep. Porter a convaincu son ami Jared Jolley de jouer la batterie dans le groupe. Peu après, Six Feet Deep s'est séparé et Brandtson est devenu un groupe à temps plein avec l'ajout de Matt Traxler (également de Six Feet Deep) à la guitare et John Sayre à la basse. Leur première sortie, *Letterbox*, est sortie sur le label indépendant de Traxler, Steadfast Records, puis a été réédité par Deep Elm Records. Le groupe a ensuite sorti le single *Let's Call It A Day* sur Velvet Blue Music et a également participé à la compilation Volume Two of the Emo Diaries. En 1999, Deep Elm a sorti *Fallen Star Collection*, suivi de l'EP *Trying to Figure Each Other Out* en 2000. D'autres sorties ont suivi et un passage à The Militia Group pour la sortie de l'album *Send Us a Signal* en 2004. Au cours de ces années, le groupe a fait des tournées en Amérique du Nord, en Europe, au Japon, à Singapour et à Hong Kong. Sayre a quitté le groupe en 2005 et a été remplacé par Adam Boose de Furnace St., qui a également ajouté une touche électronique à leur son. Leur dernier album, *Hello, Control*, est sorti en mai 2006. En 2007, Myk a partagé de nouvelles musiques de son projet solo intitulé *May This House Be Safe From Tigers* sur MySpace. On dit que Brandtson s'est séparé en raison du manque d'interaction avec les fans et du retard important de leur prochain album.

C'était le 5 avril 1980 quand un groupe inconnu et sans nom a joué dans une église désacralisée de la ville universitaire d'Athens en Géorgie. À peine deux semaines plus tard, ils ont choisi un nom R.E.M. , et ilt ont sortiun single et en 1983 un album "Murmur".
Avec 7 albums à leur actif, le groupe est une source d'inspiration et de créativité au niveau mondial, au cours de ces 20 années il n'a cessé d'influencer le paysage musical et de créer des tendances.
Nous continuons donc à voir un balancement entre les festivals d'été et non, nous devons les annuler car nous ne pouvons pas garantir la sécurité.
Il sont 7, ils ont presque tous la vingtaine, ils aiment le post-rock et aussi expérimenter différents sons. Plus qu'un groupe, Black Country est une communauté.
J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
