Sean Price (1973-2016) était un rappeur américain connu pour son style agressif et ses rimes complexes. Né à Brooklyn, New York, il a commencé sa carrière musicale dans les années 1990 en tant que membre du groupe Heltah Skeltah. Après avoir collaboré avec des artistes comme Mobb Deep et Wu-Tang Clan, Price s'est lancé dans une carrière solo réussie, publiant des albums acclamés par la critique tels que "Mic Tyson" (2005) et "Jesus Price Supastar" (2013). Son flow unique et ses paroles acérées en ont fait un artiste respecté dans le paysage du hip-hop underground. Parmi ses morceaux les plus représentatifs, on peut citer "Monkey Barz", "Hip Hop" et "The Price Is Right".

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
