Men Without Hats sont un groupe canadien de synth-pop formé à Montréal, Québec, en 1978. Le groupe est composé d'Ivan Doroschuk (chant), Colin Doroschuk (guitare, claviers) et d'autres musiciens collaborateurs. Leur musique se caractérise par une forte composante électronique, avec l'utilisation de synthétiseurs, de machines à rythme et d'effets sonores innovants pour l'époque. La voix barytone d'Ivan Doroschuk et les mélodies accrocheuses ont contribué au succès du groupe, surtout dans la première moitié des années 1980. Parmi leurs chansons les plus célèbres figurent "The Safety Dance", "Pop Goes the World" et "Where My Friends?. Le groupe a sorti plusieurs albums, dont "Rhythm of Youth" (1982) et "No Hats Beyond This Point" (1984), qui ont connu un grand succès international. Men Without Hats sont considérés comme l'une des formations les plus influentes du synth-pop des années 1980, avec un son reconnaissable et innovant.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
