Freestyle Fellowship est un groupe de rap originaire de Los Angeles, composé des rappeurs Aceyalone, Myka 9, P.E.A.C.E., Self Jupiter et du producteur J Sumbi. Leurs techniques vocales, axées sur la méthode du freestyle, ainsi qu'une fusion réussie d'hip-hop et de jazz, ont établi le groupe comme précurseur du sous-genre du jazz rap, le plaçant parmi les artistes underground de la côte ouest des années 90 comme Hieroglyphics, Abstract Rude and Tribe Unique et The Pharcyde. Freestyle Fellowship fait partie d'un collectif hip-hop connu sous le nom de Project Blowed.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
