Ijahman Levi, né Trevor Sutherland à Christiana, Manchester, en Jamaïque en 1946, est un musicien reggae. Après une conversion religieuse au mouvement rastafari pendant une peine de prison entre 1972 et 1974, il a adopté le nom d'artiste Ijahman Levi. Son premier album, *Haile I Hymn*, est sorti en 1978 sur Island Records. Ses quatre premiers albums ont promu la doctrine rastafarien et celle des Douze tribus d'Israël. Parmi ses chansons les plus représentatives figurent *Zion Gate*, *Jah Is My Shepherd* et *Black Woman*.
