Oingo Boingo était un groupe musical américain actif de 1972 à 1995. Fondé à Los Angeles par Richard Elfman, le groupe a d'abord joué de la musique théâtrale et de cabaret avant d'évoluer vers une sonorité new wave caractérisée par des rythmes syncopés, des influences punk et une atmosphère excentrique. Parmi les chansons les plus connues d'Oingo Boingo figurent "Only a Lad", "Little Girls" et "Dead Man's Party". Le groupe a collaboré avec des réalisateurs comme Tim Burton pour la bande originale du film "Beetlejuice" (1988). Après une longue carrière marquée par le succès commercial et une base de fans dévoués, Oingo Boingo s'est dissous en 1995. Richard Elfman a continué à travailler comme compositeur et chef d'orchestre pour des films et des spectacles théâtraux.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
