Brian Setzer est un musicien américain né à Newark, New Jersey en 1959. Connu pour son style rockabilly et swing, il est considéré comme l'un des pionniers du renouveau de ces genres dans les années 1980 et 1990. Il a commencé sa carrière comme guitariste et chanteur avec les Stray Cats, un groupe fondé en 1979 qui a connu un succès international grâce à des chansons comme "Rock This Town", "Stray Cat Strut" et "(She's) Sexy + 17". Après la dissolution des Stray Cats, Setzer a poursuivi sa carrière solo, publiant des albums de swing et de rockabilly qui ont rencontré un grand succès auprès du public et de la critique. Parmi ses albums les plus importants figurent "The Brian Setzer Orchestra" (1998) et "Ignition! The Brian Setzer Orchestra" (2006). Setzer est également un musicien jazz accompli, collaborant avec des artistes tels qu'Elvis Costello et Norah Jones.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
