Nizlopi était un duo musical britannique composé de Luke Concannon (chant, guitare et bodhrán) et John Parker (contrebasse, beatbox humain et chœurs). Basés à Leamington Spa, en Angleterre, les deux se sont rencontrés alors qu'ils étudiaient au Trinity Catholic Technology College. Avant d'aller au lycée, ils ont tous les deux fréquenté ensemble l'école primaire St. Joseph's. Le nom du groupe vient d'une fille hongroise que Luke avait eu un coup de cœur à l'école. Nizlopi a connu le succès en 2005 avec le single "JCB Song", une chanson folk-rock devenue virale grâce à son rythme accrocheur et son ironie. Le duo a sorti deux albums studio : "The Nizlopi Album" (2006) et "Nizlopi" (2008). Après plusieurs tournées et collaborations, le groupe s'est séparé en 2010. Parmi les chansons les plus représentatives de Nizlopi, on peut citer également "Happy Song", "The Ballad of the Broken Heart" et "I'm Not a Robot".

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
