The Sisters of Mercy sono un gruppo musicale britannico di genere gothic rock, emersi dalla scena post-punk alla fine degli anni '70. Fondati a Leeds nel 1980 da Andrew Eldritch (voce), il gruppo ha subito diverse formazioni nel corso della sua storia, con Paul Hession (chitarra) e Wayne Hussey (chitarra) tra i membri più longevi. Il loro sound, caratterizzato da atmosfere cupe, melodie sinistre e testi introspettivi, li ha rapidamente catapultati nell'underground goth britannico. A metà degli anni '80, The Sisters of Mercy hanno raggiunto un successo commerciale significativo con album come *First and Last and Always* (1985) e *Vision Thing* (1987), che hanno introdotto il loro sound a un pubblico più ampio. Brani come «Temple of Love», «This Corrosion» e «Lucretia My Reflection» sono diventati classici del genere gothic rock. J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
