The Crown est un groupe suédois de death/thrash metal originaire de Trollhättan. À l'origine, ils utilisaient le nom Crown of Thorns mais ont été obligés de le changer en raison d'un autre groupe qui l'utilisait déjà. Leur musique et leurs paroles sont inspirées par la mort, les thèmes antireligieux (principalement ciblant le christianisme) et la rébellion. Ils sont connus pour fusionner le death metal avec des influences thrash. Le groupe s'est dissous en 2004. Après cela, Lindstrand a formé One Man Army and the Undead Quartet. Tervonen a formé Angel Blake, du nom d'une chanson de Danzig. Il se concentre maintenant sur son nouveau projet Lady Mourning. Sunesson est dans un groupe appelé Engel. Olsfelt est également dans un groupe appelé Stolen Policecar. Le groupe s'est reformé en décembre 2009 avec Jonas Stalhammar de God Macabre comme nouveau chanteur.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
