La Tom Robinson Band était un groupe de rock britannique actif de la fin des années 1970 au début des années 1980. Fondé en 1976 par le chanteur, compositeur et bassiste Tom Robinson (né le 1er juin 1950 à Cambridge, Angleterre), le groupe a connu un succès notable grâce à son son énergique et aux thèmes sociaux abordés dans ses chansons. Robinson, connu pour son engagement politique et social, s'est distingué comme une voix dissidente sur la scène musicale britannique de l'époque. La Tom Robinson Band a sorti plusieurs albums à succès, dont "Tom Robinson Band" (1977) et "Power in the Hand" (1978), qui ont contribué à définir le son du punk rock progressif. Parmi les chansons les plus célèbres du groupe figurent "Glad to Be Gay", une chanson qui abordait ouvertement la thématique de l'homosexualité, et "War Baby", un hymne anti-guerre.
