Eric Lynn Wright, mieux connu sous le nom d'Eazy-E, était un rappeur et producteur de disques américain considéré comme l'un des pionniers du gangsta rap. Né à Compton, en Californie, en 1964, Eazy-E a fondé le groupe N.W.A (Niggaz Wit Attitudes) en 1986 avec Dr. Dre, Ice Cube, MC Ren et DJ Yella. Le groupe est rapidement devenu célèbre pour ses chansons qui décrivaient la vie dure et violente de la communauté de Compton, abordant des thèmes tels que la brutalité policière, le racisme et la pauvreté. Parmi les morceaux les plus représentatifs du N.W.A figurent «Fuck tha Police», «Straight Outta Compton» et «Express Yourself». Eazy-E s'est distingué par son flow agressif et ses rimes tranchantes, devenant une icône de la culture hip hop des années 90. En 1987, il a fondé Ruthless Records, qui est devenue l'une des maisons de disques les plus importantes du rap. Malgré son succès, Eazy-E est décédé en 1995 à cause d'une infection par le VIH/SIDA, laissant un héritage durable dans la musique hip hop.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
