Zwan è stato un supergruppo pop rock formatosi alla fine del 2001 da Billy Corgan, cantante e chitarrista degli Smashing Pumpkins, insieme a Jimmy Chamberlin (batteria), anch'egli membro degli Smashing Pumpkins. Al gruppo si sono uniti David Pajo (chitarra), ex Slint, Tortoise e autore di vari album solisti, e Matt Sweeney. In seguito, Paz Lenchantin, ex A Perfect Circle, ha preso il posto al basso. Nel 2003 è uscito il loro unico album, *Mary Star of the Sea*. Pochi mesi dopo, a causa di dissidi interni e scarso successo commerciale, il gruppo si è sciolto.
