Colin James Hay è un cantautore, chitarrista e musicista scozzese naturalizzato australiano, nato a Dundee nel 1953. È conosciuto soprattutto come ex componente del gruppo musicale Men at Work, con cui ha raggiunto il successo internazionale negli anni '80. Il suo brano più famoso, "Down Under", ha conquistato le classifiche mondiali e rimane un classico della musica pop. Dopo lo scioglimento dei Men at Work, Hay ha intrapreso una carriera da solista di grande successo, pubblicando numerosi album e tournèe in tutto il mondo. La sua musica è caratterizzata da melodie orecchiabili, testi introspettivi e un'atmosfera folk-rock che fonde elementi australiani e britannici. Tra i suoi album più importanti si ricordano "Waiting for My Real Life" (1989) e "The Whole Thing Started with a Song" (2007).
