Rainbow è un gruppo musicale britannico di hard rock e heavy metal, formatosi nel 1975 dal chitarrista Ritchie Blackmore, ex Deep Purple. Il primo nucleo del gruppo comprendeva anche il cantante Ronnie James Dio, i tastieristi Mickey Lee Soule e Craig Gruber al basso e Gary Driscoll alla batteria. Nel corso degli anni, Rainbow ha attraversato diverse formazioni, con la partecipazione di alcuni dei più importanti musicisti britannici del genere hard rock. Tra le canzoni più rappresentative si ricordano "Stargazer", "Man on the Silver Mountain" e "Since You Been Gone". L'album di debutto omonimo (1975) è considerato un classico del heavy metal, mentre "Rising" (1976) ha consolidato il successo della band.
