Florence and the Machine è il nome d'arte di Florence Welch, cantautrice britannica nata nel 1986. Il progetto musicale vede la collaborazione con altri artisti che accompagnano la sua voce in un sound caratterizzato da influenze indie rock, folk e soul. Il debutto del gruppo risale al 2009 con l'album "Lungs", accolto con grande successo dalla critica e dal pubblico.
