Victor Lemonte Wooten est un bassiste américain né en 1964 à Shelbyville, Tennessee. Considéré comme l'un des meilleurs bassistes de tous les temps, Wooten a atteint la renommée internationale pour sa technique virtuose, son style innovant et sa profonde sensibilité musicale. Il a commencé à jouer de la basse à l'âge de 7 ans, influencé par son père qui était un musicien gospel. Au cours de sa carrière, il a collaboré avec des artistes tels que Béla Fleck, Les Claypool et Steve Vai, formant également le groupe de fusion jazz V.U. (Victor Wooten Universe). Wooten est connu pour sa capacité à combiner des éléments de funk, de jazz, de rock et de musique classique dans son style unique. Il a remporté quatre Grammy Awards et a publié de nombreux albums à succès, notamment "A Show of Hands", "Live in Concert" et "Palmystery".
