Primitive Radio Gods sont un groupe américain de rock alternatif originaire du sud de la Californie. Le groupe est composé du leader Chris O'Connor, qui assure les voix, la guitare et le basse; Tim Lauterio à la percussion; et Luke McAuliffe, qui contribue avec divers instruments supplémentaires (guitares, violons, piano) ainsi qu'à une grande partie de l'art apparu sur les albums et le site web du groupe. L'ancien membre Jeff Sparks écrivait, chantait et jouait de la basse avant de quitter le groupe en 2001 pour poursuivre d'autres projets musicaux. Leur son est caractérisé par des atmosphères sombres et des mélodies accrocheuses, avec des influences allant du rock alternatif au post-rock. Parmi leurs chansons les plus connues figurent 'Standing Outside a Broken Phone Booth with Money in My Hand', 'The World Is Not Enough' et 'I Don't Want to Be Your Friend'.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
