Q-Tip, de son vrai nom Jonathan William Davis, est un rappeur, DJ et producteur de disques américain né à New York en 1970. Considéré comme l'un des pionniers du hip hop alternatif, Q-Tip a contribué de manière significative à la diffusion des sonorités jazz et soul au sein du genre pendant les années 1990. Il est connu pour ses performances énergiques, ses paroles intelligentes et sa capacité à mélanger des influences musicales diverses. Il a atteint le succès international en tant que membre du groupe A Tribe Called Quest, avec lequel il a sorti des albums iconiques tels que "The Low End Theory" (1991) et "Midnight Marauders" (1993). J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
