Children of Bodom è una band finlandese di metal sin dal 1993. Fondata da Alexi Laiho, il gruppo ha raggiunto fama internazionale grazie al suo sound melódico e aggressivo, un mix di death metal, power metal e melodeath. Tra i brani più rappresentativi figurano "Downfall", "Are You Dead Yet?" e "Everytime I Die". L'album di debutto "Something Wild" (1997) ha segnato l'inizio di una carriera di successo, con album come "Follow the Reaper" (2000), "Hate Crew Deathroll" (2006) e "Relentless Reckless Forever" (2008) che hanno consolidato la loro posizione nel panorama metal mondiale. Laiho è stato un'icona del genere, noto per le sue performance energiche e il suo talento chitarristico. La band ha collaborato con artisti come Amorphis e Apocalyptica. Nel 2021 Laiho è tragicamente scomparso, ponendo fine a una delle carriere più influenti nel metal finlandese.
