Gerald Levert (Cleveland, Ohio, 27 janvier 1966 – 10 novembre 2006) était un chanteur et musicien américain du genre R and B. Fils du célèbre chanteur des O'Jays Eddie Levert, il a formé le groupe LeVert avec son frère Sean et leur ami Marc Gordon au milieu des années 1980. Le groupe a connu quatre albums de platine et plusieurs singles à succès, notamment "(Pop, Pop, Pop, Pop) Goes My Mind", "Casanova", "Addicted to You", "Just Coolin'", "Baby I'm Ready" et "Private Line", tous en tête des classements R and B entre 1986 et 1991. Après la dissolution du groupe, Levert a poursuivi sa carrière solo avec succès, publiant plusieurs singles et albums qui ont atteint les sommets des classements R and B.

J'ai l'impression qu'avant d'aborder le sujet traité dans cet article je dois faire une prémisse: le reggaeton n'est pas vraiment mon genre préféré, il se réfugie dans un rythme très banal avec des textes que 99% du temps décrivent la femme comme un objet disponible à l'homme macho.
Le film très critiqué «Musique» de Sia qui voit son début en tant que réalisatrice vient d'être nominé comme meilleur film au Golden Globe 2021. L'actrice principale Kate Hudson a été nominée dans la catégorie Meilleure actrice.
