Walking out across the street, shaking ground beneath his feet
Can he now make right all that went wrong
People pass him one by one, he doesn't notice anyone
Walking in a tunnel of his own
Feelings that he can't define, sends him shivers down his spine
Pearls of cold sweat bursts around his neck
Heading for the station as his patience turns to aggravation
Staring blindly forward, stumbling on
Watch his honour slip right through his hands
Walls built all around, she tore them down
Was kept confined, now left him behind
Heading cross the street, he strides, the other side, the darker side
Casting shadows around him all the while
Desperation crawling up his back, breathing fast
he's loosing track of all that was his dignity
Watch his honour slip right through his hands
Walls built all around, she tore them down
Was kept confined, now left him behind
Why she stayed around, while he wore her down?
Years went on, 'til she would go, went, gone
Running through the station door, down the stairs towards the bottom floor
If she's not there she's lost forevermore
Further down the platform on the other side, he sees her from behind
he catches up but don't attack
Waits for her to turn around, look back
Walls built all around, she tore them down
Was kept confined, now left him behind
Why she stayed around, while he wore her down?
Years went on, 'til she would go, went, gone
'til she would go, went, gone
